Avon River Valley
The tour starts with an entertaining story of how the Nova Scotia wine industry came to be on our way to the first stop, Avondale Sky Winery. This winery opened to the public in 2011 and is housed in an historic church built in 1836. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a tour of the vineyard and then sample five of their “divine” wines in the beautiful tasting room!
Then it’s off to Bent Ridge Winery for lunch. Feel as if you’ve been transported to Tuscany as you enjoy a selection wood-fired pizzas and wine on their patio overlooking the vines. Sample their wines or craft beer while you dine.
Next, we’ll stop at Sainte Famille Wines for a tour of the cellar to explain the wine making process and then a tasting of their award-winning wines paired with chocolate!
Finally, get schooled in craft beer at the Schoolhouse Brewery! Sample 4 of their unique brews such as the Principal Pale Ale or Recess Pilsner on their sunny patio.
